Enjoy the Secret Place

Have you been feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, or frustrated in life? Do you feel like things have not been going the way that you thought they would? Do you sometimes feel like no matter how many people you call after a hard day you still don’t feel better?

Only God can heal the brokenness in your life and speak affirmation over you with everlasting truth. His words hold power over your life because He made you. Your Creator knows you more than any other person on this earth. He knows the deepest parts of your heart and every thought that comes across your mind. His voice will always speak louder and heal every part of your soul.

You were created to be loved by God.

In the beginning, we were created for a loving relationship with God. In the garden, God walked with Adam in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8). After the fall, sin entered and we were separated from Him. Through the blood of Jesus on the cross, we now have access to the fullness of God! We have not only been adopted as children of God but get to walk in authority and power through the Holy Spirit by grace through faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Intimacy with God is now possible through His sacrifice.

Prayer is simply relationship.

Prayer is simply relationship with God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can commune with the One True Living God anywhere you are. You can speak to Him as much as you want and receive the fullness of His love. There are no boundaries or limitations anymore! You and God are one when you receive Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior. You enter into a covenant relationship that can never be broken. It’s not by works but by grace through faith in Jesus.

The One who created you and knit you together in your mother’s womb desires an intimate relationship with you. There are no boundaries or limitations. You can access as much of God as you want! All of His love, peace, joy, freedom, provision, and devotion is yours. In return, you give Him all of yourself. Every burden, every stress, every worry or fear. When you give Him the most vulnerable parts of yourself, He will fill you with Himself in exchange and shine light in the darkest parts of your heart.

Release control. 

Everything is in Him, through Him, by Him, and for Him. Apart from God we can do nothing and we are nothing. When you receive this reality, it actually liberates you to release control. You are not God—what a relief! You don’t have to carry the weight of your sin, burdens, or others on your shoulders. God does everything by His power and Spirit. This takes the pressure off to be perfect, perform, and do everything right.

In the loving arms of the Father, you can rest secure that He has your entire life past, present, and future taken care of. You have nothing to fear because God is near. He is with you through every difficult moment and affliction. He will never leave your side. He will always come through. He is trustworthy.

Give Jesus everything. 

I encourage you to take time out of your day to go to the secret place with God. Whether it’s in your, car, room closet or bathroom—God will meet you there. He won’t hesitate one moment in pouring Himself out on you. When you shut the door, He will already be waiting for you, ready to receive you as you are.

Don’t put heavy burdens or expectations on yourself to be put together or say the right thing. Be authentic, genuine, honest, and vulnerable. Tell Him about everything. Your greatest fears, anxieties, or stressful circumstances. Don’t hide anything from your Father. The Spirit will search your heart and lead you to repentance in His kindness towards you to bring deeper healing. Don’t waste a single moment in His presence feeling unworthy to be there. He delights in you.

Enter boldly into the throne room. 

Jesus is waiting for you in the secret place today. You can come freely without shame or condemnation to His presence. You have been grafted into His heavenly family. Jesus already paid a high cost for all of your sin to make you holy and spotless before God.

 

You have been justified by faith and are now the righteousness of Christ. His sacrifice and shed blood has given you access to a beautiful relationship with God. You can come boldly as a beloved daughter into the throne room of grace and sit at the right hand of the Father in Christ. There is a seat for you with your name on it. Learn to sit in His presence and receive His love.

 

Enjoy the secret place.

Your personal time with the Lord isn’t bound by reading, writing, or listening to worship music. If you have a creative outlet, you can enjoy your time with the Lord even more! Taking time to be alone with God while doing something you love is a beautiful way to connect with Elohim, the Creator.

Read scriptures related to what you love to do and share your gifts and passions with the Lord. He created you with unique gifs that He loves to receive back from you and do them with you.

Today, I encourage you to spend time in God’s presence. Paint, dance, sing, cook, whatever it looks like for you, find a way to invite Him into your daily life.

Invitation to wholeness

The Father is inviting you into a life of wholeness with Him. Take off the heavy yoke of shame and run into the loving arms of the Father. He truly cares about you and desires an intimate relationship with the Father. Don’t wait another moment, be with God.
