Do You Need Rest?

Sarahi Gonzalez

Introduction

Have you been feeling anxious, stressed, worried, or depressed?

In this blog, I will be sharing a prophetic word from the Lord and what I felt the Jesus was speaking to my spirit.

Prophetic Word

I asked the Lord what He felt I should share with you this month. Here is what He shared with me:

My daughters are striving. They feel defeated, tired, and weary. They need to come, drink, and have their fill of my love.

I will give you rest on all sides. You will no longer have to fight for what you need. I am your Good Shepherd. I am the LORD your God, who is mighty, all powerful, and able to protect you from the flaming arrows of the enemy. Hear my voice and listen to my call. I am the LORD your God who does not tremble or quake at your circumstance.

Fear not my daughter. Rest in my perfect love that casts out all fear. I am your Comforter. I am your Healer. I am the One your soul longs for. Come to me all of you who are tired and weary…I will give you my rest. True rest that can only come from my presence.

What comes with God’s rest?

The Lord desires to give you His joy. There is joy that can be found in the center of His rest. You can be still and know that God will take care of you. He is your Shepherd that will lead you down streams of living water. He will bring you to a calm and peaceful place. I see tranquil rivers with sounds of trickling water.

He desires for you to have a quiet time with Him where there are no distractions, no technology, and only Him. He encourages you to come back to a place of reading books, talking to Him in the mundane moments of life, where your heart gently leans in toward His. It’s a call to live in the sweet, still, moments of life and be present.

God’s banner over you is love

Allow the Lord to win the battle over your mind and take the victory. Take the weapons out of your hands, you warrior. Sit down. Let God be the banner of love over you. He reigns victorious already. You have nothing to fear or be anxious about.

You don’t have to be strong with Him. He is your source of strength when you are weak. It’s okay to fall apart in His loving arms. It’s okay to be a child again. You need to prove yourself to God. He is your loving Father.

He is so proud of the woman you have become. You don’t need the world’s affirmation or applause. You don’t need to abide by the standards that society has put on you to obtain fame, glory, beauty, riches, or this pursuit of happiness through the physical world.

God has already spoken a better word over you. You already have the storehouses of heaven available to you. You can achieve far greater things when you sit at the feet of Jesus. It’s countercultural. It doesn’t make sense. But when you begin to realize that everything you do is unto the Lord and He is the establisher of your steps, you can no longer build the house in vain. You must submit to His plans, His will, His authority.

It’s not difficult. It’s so simple. It’s so easy. It just looks like sitting. Rest.

Renew your mind

This shift can only come from renewing your mind by spending time in His presence. Wash yourself with the word of God. Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal areas in your life that need more of His perfect love. Let go of what you believe to be the truth and allow the Word of God to reveal Truth to you. It is filled with all of the knowledge, wisdom, and truth of the Creator of everything.

Learn from Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelations, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to do the miraculous in this world with God to build His kingdom.

Don’t be like them

Don’t follow the patterns of this world or conform to what you have been taught. God’s Truth is what you must follow as a believer of Christ. Jesus is the only door. He is the only Way, Truth, and Life. We can do nothing apart from Him.

Don’t try to be like anyone else. Step into the person God created you to be. Become your original design. Follow the path God has planned for you long ago before the creation of the world.

Psalm 23

Remember Psalm 23 in your heart.

God will renew your strength. He desires to comfort you in times of tribulation and grief. He will be your protector. You don’t need to be afraid.

He wants to bless you so that your cup overflows. His goodness and unfailing love will pursue you all the days of your life. You have received the greatest blessing of all: salvation.

When you accept Jesus into your heart, you get to spend eternity with God! There is not a gift in this world that it could offer more precious than to abide in the love of Jesus for eternity.
